It’s October and the second Ubuntu release of the year has just been made available for download. As is tradition now, the Zimbabwe Ubuntu Loco team hosts an Ubuntu Release Party to celebrate the new version.
Ubuntu 10.10 is code named Maverick Meerkat. A name that ofcourse reminds us of Timon.
The release party will be held this Saturday, 16 October at Alliance Française in Harare. Start time is 1200hrs.
This is a great event to attend if you’re a Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) enthusiast or if you just want to learn about Ubuntu. Or maybe you’re tired of using pirated Windows software and you’re looking to see if there’s hope for you. There is, plenty of it. Great opportunity to meet and mix with Harare’s network of FOSS enthusiasts.
