ZOL introduces Bulawayo to Fibre internet- 3 suburbs earmarked for first phase

ZOL, Liquid Telecom, package prices

A little over a month ago we shared information on Liquid Telecom’s ongoing fibre trenching in the city of Bulawayo. These developments were meant to culminate in the introduction of Fibre to the Home in parts of the city.

The good news is that ZOL Zimbabwe, Liquid Telecom’s Internet service provider initiating fibre through its Fibroniks suite has confirmed that it is now in Bulawayo. According to information shared by the ZOL marketing team, ZOL Fibroniks will initially be introduced in three suburbs, namely Hillside, Burnside and Hillcrest.

Of the three areas, Hillside has been primed for Fibroniks installations and residents can go and sign up for respective packages straight away. Connections in Burnside and Hillcrest will be rolled out in the next few weeks, with the introduction of Fibroniks in other suburbs following subsequently.

This will hopefully mark an aggressive response from other internet providers that have often downplayed the business proposition of the Bulawayo market. Residents in the city have often complained about being sidelined by internet providers that target the larger potential and exiting market in Harare.

For Bulawayo residents, it will at least mean the access to faster internet, provided the fibre ends up in your neighbourhood sometime soon.

Good to see Blues is getting in on the action.I was wondering if there could be a ZOL Fibroniks review article from actual urban users to see if it actually meets the stated standards on their website.
