I think this whole thing of what’s app not supporting all these model devices is an elaborate scheme to assist the service providers to sell more expensive devices to an already cash strapped community. Their are thousands maybe 100 000 users relying on old devices for easy cost effective ways of communicating to each other. Now every single person across the globe has to adapt to money greedy people to remain in contact with loved ones. What about the poor folk that stay in rural areas that get supported by loved ones working far away in cities? They now have to buy more expensive devices thus having less money for their loved ones. It is all about the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer because of greed. Whatsapp is used by millions of people, young and old, rich and the poor, so why can cancel out older models? You have the technology to make anything work in your favour, so why not support the very public that assisted in making What’s app so popular. Put your greed in your pocket and start thinking of those that really cannot afford new so called smart devices.

Whatsapp has stopped working on my blackberry device but it’s not yet the 30th of june, I don’t know what’s wrong but the creators of this app bridged their promise of stopping whatsapp on all old devices, old device users should be able to download whatsapp till the due date june 30th…. Yours sincerely: concerned user
