FBC Mobile Moola suspends DStv payments

Are you an FBC account holder who also got a message that goes somewhat like this?
“We regret to advise that DSTV service is no longer available on Mobile Moola due to circumstances beyond our control. Service is available through FBC branches.
Well, it sounded like the FBC bank’s Mobile Moola platform will no longer be supporting the DStv subscriptions payment -ever! And to be frank, that wouldn’t have been too much of a surprise since our economic climate seems to be influencing a lot of change in the banking systems. We wrote how  CABS  recently announced their DStv payment restrictions due to USD shortages.
Nonetheless, that’s not the case with FBC’s Mobile Moola. I contacted the FBC bank to enquire, and this was their response:
Good evening,
We advise that the Mobile Moola DStv payment service is currently unavailable due to a system modification exercise. In the meantime, kindly visit your nearest FBC Bank or Building Society branch during working hours to pay for DStv subscriptions. We sincerely apologise for any inconveniences caused. Please bear with us as we carry out this necessary exercise.

So the bad news isn’t so bad after all since it’s just a technical glitch which will be resolved soon – I hope. However, once resolved, we’ll be sure to let you know.

If you have internet banking, the bill payment option works like a charm.
