Here’s a list of fintech companies operating in Zimbabwe

If you’re in need of some financial services or just wondering how many fintech companies are operating in Zimbabwe, here is a list of them. Please let us know if we missed any company and we will add it to the list.

Paynow

A secure online payments platform that allows you to pay for various bills like Netflix subscription, Internet from telecommunications or Water from City of Harare. Apart from Mastercard and Visa support, it is also integrated with local mobile payment solutions like Ecocash and Telecash.

Bitmari

A Bitcoin-based money remittance service for the Zimbabwe market. It allows people outside the country to send money to local recipients using Bitcoin through a Bitcoin wallet.

Ecocash

A mobile payment solution that allows people on the Econet network to send each other money, buy airtime or electricity, pay for bills or goods among other things.

Bitfinance (Now Golix.io)

An online Bitcoin exchange platform used by third-party subscribers to hold and trade bitcoin with other subscribers. 

GetBucks

An online platfrom that gives people credit based on their income without the hassle of waiting in lines.

E-tranzact

An electronic payment solution that allows people to make payments for bill, topup services or transfer funds.

Transcation Payment Solutions (TPS)

Got acquired by Liquid Telecom Group and became Liquid Telecoms Payments. They provide an electronic payment system and Point Of Sale solutions for business in Zimbabwe and Africa.

Zimswitch

Owns Zimswitch Instant Payment Interchange Technology (ZIPIT) which is a mobile payment system that allows user to send money to any bank, buy airtime among other things. They also provide Point of Sale Solution, Automated Teller Machines (ATM) systems and internet banking solutions.

Instapay

Allows users to buy prepaid electricity as well as airtime for all three mobile networks (Econet, Telecel and NetOne) with the option to make the payment via EcoCash and Telecash.

Zapper

A mobile app that provides e-payment solution by allowing merchants to provide a QR code payment option for funds. 

Zing

Have booths that electronically vend electricity, airtime, bill payments, DSTV subscriptions, and other services.

    I don’t think Instapay can e classified as a FinTech company. They are just a vendor, of which there are plenty of them too.
