On Sunday, we posted the winners of the inaugural Zimbabwe ICT Achievers Awards. We had just come from the event the previous night and didn’t have the full details of the achievements of the winners. I know it took a whole week to get these, and we’re sorry for that. But let’s focus on the positive: Courtesy of our friends at Just ICT, we now have the details.
Now, instead of just dumping the achievements here, we thought we would celebrate them in a more prominent way; a separate article for each achiever. We can reference each achiever individually in future any time we (or you) need to do so. We did not edit the citations. We just posted as is.
And that has spurred something we have been wanting to do for a while. We want to profile Zimbabwe ICT companies, entrepreneurs, startups and any entity in the ICT industry that people would want to know about. Call it an editable database of Zimbabwe’s ICT entities, especially the ones we write about here. A database like the one they have over at Business Insider, or Crunchbase at Techcrunch.
Stay tuned for that in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, you can go ahead and click on Zimbabwe’s 2010 ICT Achievers below for the full details of their achievements this year:
