For all startups that were rushing to submit their entries for DEMO Africa 2014 the good news is the deadline has been extended by one week. The final date for submission will now be Sunday the 22nd of June 2014.
In a press release the producer of DEMO Africa, Harry Hare, explained the motivation behind the extension citing the numerous requests made by startups to extend the deadline in order to be able to meet the stringent requirements.
The organisers were sympathetic to the challenges faced by startups in creating a final product ready for presentation.DEMO Africa will be held in Lagos Nigeria this coming September. The objective of the showcase is to create a platform where emerging tech ideas can find partnerships, get funding or open up their product or service to new markets.
DEMO Africa is a continental showcase of startup talent aimed at the enhancement of innovation in fast growing economies. Last month there was a DEMO Africa Innovation Tour hosted by Hypercube Hub where some of DEMO Africa representatives outlined the requirements that startups have to meet in order to be considered as one of the 40 teams taking part at the showcase.
