Recently saisai Wireless, a local startup from NUST which is working on the provision of free WiFi service participated at this year’s edition of the DEMO Africa tech startup showcase.
saisai won the SWELL Innovation Award beating six other startups nominated from the 40 participants at DEMO Africa in Lagos Nigeria. The Bulawayo based team will be going to Silicon Valley to take part in an accelerator program.
We came across some of the presentations from the Lagos event including part of the winning pitch from saisai. The clip below shows two members of the team, Jabulani Mpofu and Martin Ndlovu. They are seen fielding some questions from the judges on their service and its scalability in other parts of the world.
