The 2 day Digital Future Conference hosted by Techzim and TBWA kicked off in Harare today. What a day it was. Even for us here at Techzim it is rare to get the opportunity to meet Zimbabwe’s talent, business leaders and entrepreneurs all in one place, just for the purpose of networking and sharing insights about getting results online.
So it was an amazing day interacting and sharing knowledge with digital marketers, agencies, publishers, content creators and platform companies at the conference.
We had representatives from Bustop TV, Google, TelOne, Multichoice, AMH (publishers of NewsDay), ZiFM, Magna Carta, Magamba Network and Battle of the Chefs amoung others. We also had numerous independent digital consultants and personalities that are deliberately using their digital audiences to grow their offline business.
Tomorrow, day 2, the plan is to go into the practical tools for digital marketing starting with Search Engine Optimisation stuff (a conversation with a local Google Digital Skills trainer I’m going to host), online reputation management by Magna Carta and finally a Google Analytics demo by the Google representative.
