You Want Your Kids To Study Abroad But Can’t Afford It All At Once? This Could Be Your Solution

A number of people in Zimbabwe want to send their children abroad for tertiary education. Of course all parents would consider it if it were within their means but it’s not always the case.

The peculiar thing in Zimbabwe right now is that even those parents that can afford to send their kids abroad may still not be able to do it because of the shortages of foreign currency. They may have the money but when it comes to international payments having money in the bank account may not be enough.

Then Comes ASHE

ASHE College has partnerships with several universities around the world including some in the UK, Malaysia and the United States. Over the years, these partnerships have been to enable ASHE to offer the curriculum of these universities here in Zimbabwe. They have also been able to have students study for the first part of their programmes in Zimbabwe and then transfer and finish off in the UK or Malaysia.

Now the college has started a programme whereby parents who want to send their children abroad can pay for it over time without the student having to wait until all the money is in one place.

How Does It Work?

The student enrols into ASHE for a business programme, an advanced diploma. The diploma gives the learner advanced standing into the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. They can study at ASHE for two years and then transfer to the University of Hertfordshire in the third and final year of the Bachelor of Business Administration or Business Management..

During the two years they will be at ASHE, the parent will be paying tuition together with an installment towards the final year. That means that the parent will be able to spread out the costs of a UK education experience for their child (just one year) over three years.

No, ASHE Will Not Touch Your Money

The payment plan solution is in partnership with an independent payments management company that works with most private schools to allow parents to pay fees in installments.

It is them who will enter into contract with the parents and receive the fees installments. The ASHE team also believes that this partnership can possibly give rise to the parents accessing loans to further finance their child in the final year at Hertfordshire in the UK. This is not available yet but they hope if parents can prove to their banking partner that they are disciplined in paying installments then it may just be possible.

Why Send Kids Abroad In The First Place

It’s a relevant question to ask: Why do you have to go through hoops to send your child overseas for an education? Here’s how the ASHE team answered that question:

We believe after taking our students through rigorous learning and appreciation of Africa’s business environment, exposure is key to ensure practical, innovative, 21st century solutions are created by Africa’s exposed learner. This concept is not new and has seen the Asian tigers grow and recover their economies.

Whilst this program targets to create a well-rounded graduate who appreciate Africa’s development prospects, it also creates opportunities global employment opportunities

This is them just saying that they want their learners to be exposed both to the African landscape and then to the international way of doing certain things in the hope that this will inspire them to see solutions where others see problems.

Those who want to sign up for this programme, here’s a form for you to fill. You can also visit their website or whatsapp them on +263773499483/ +263772839327, call 04-300081/309086 or visit them at No.1 Adylinn Road, Marlborough, Harare
