A year ago, EcoLedger was launched and though it was revolutionary I wouldn’t have pictured it growing as fast as it has.
In the 12 months since the application that allows you to track your EcoCash transactions has garnered over 100 000 downloads making it one of the most popular financial service applications.
In fact, that feat means EcoLedger joins CBZ Touch and EcoCash as the only local financial services applications with over a hundred thousand installs on the Google Play Store. Most banks are only above the 10 000 install mark (Steward, FBC, POSB, ZB, NMB etc).
What makes EcoLedger’s achievement that much more special is the fact that it isn’t being launched by a large corporate but instead was lunched by Mobisoft a local development team.
Here are some of the positive reviews the application has been getting since launch:
Absolutely brilliant. Financial planning made easy.

Its only because Ecocash has refused to avail this option in their apps or web selfservice.
If ecocash includes it in their ecocash app then thats the death of ecoledger. Its actually dangerous that a 3rd party app has access to thousands of people banking data. Ita reckless of ecocash to not provide an internal solution. Leaving us exposed to some boys who can sell that data to what we dont we yet know.
Wish it was available for iPhones
econet just sent a message distancing itself from Ecoledge… Maybe im just paranoid and hate Econet as a group to the core, but why doesnt econet collaborate or incorporate these startups when they come up with such a noble idea? Strive ne econet will never embrace anyone who does good.. This is a 3r party app yet they can incorporate this service as VAS. MAbasa acho nyika inoagadzira sei when we have a satanic cult like Econet
