Facebook Introduces 3 Helpful Tools For Small Businesses

There are currently 90 million small businesses on Facebook, and they seem to be integral to Facebook’s overall strategy. That’s why the social media giant is creating new tools to draw small businesses to do their business on the platform. Facebook is rolling out three new tools for businesses: Automated Ads, appointments and new video editing tools.

Automated Ads

Automated Ads may not be useful to more experienced Social Media Marketers, but small business owners could find them useful. This is because they have been created to save them time and cut down complexity.

Advertisers just have to answer a few questions, and a customised marketing plan is generated for them. This takes “the guesswork out of creating effective ads that can run on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Audience Network.” Essentially, the tool automates much of the backend process that goes into creating an ad.

Appointments

You can now book and manage appointments on Facebook and Instagram. The Appointments feature lets you accept appointments online and have reminders sent to customers on Messenger or via text message. It also allows you to customise different things like “menu of services, display availability” as well as accept and manage all appointments directly from your business Page.

But that’s not all. You can also sync appointments with your personal calendar or your appointment management service. The Appointments feature on Facebook is free for all businesses on Facebook and Instagram. SMS and Messenger reminders are also free to customers.

New editing tools

Finally, Facebook is also launching three new video editing tools that will do all the automatic cropping, video trimming and image and text overlays. The new tools will help businesses easily edit an existing video and “reduce the resources needed to create compelling video content.”
