Fresh In A Box Rolling Out QR-Based Store

Following Fresh In A Box’s journey has been quite intriguing, From popping up virtually out of nowhere, they used social media to great effect and at this point I think it’s fair to call them a significant player in Zimbabwe’s eCommerce space.

Amongst their newest innovations is the launch of their Fresh Store which is based on QR technology. It’s simple but effective; You simply open (on your phone) and you’re redirected to a QR scanner and then you can scan product pages from Fresh In A Box’s Twitter account or wherever they decide to put up posters with their products. You then get a product description on your phone and you can add the product to your cart.

This virtual store allows Fresh In A Box to set up shop at events like fairs, fun days and in other public areas which were previously out of their reach.

The impact of this store will be felt more if Fresh In A Box Chief Vendor Kuda Musasiwa and other local entrepreneurs and developers can convince NetOne and other mobile network operators to offer a local bundle which is more affordable.
