ZimboCash still down, community left wondering when service will be restored

Valentine Muhamba Avatar

ZimboCash the new Crypto on the block has been down for some time. This has left people who are trading in ZASH stranded. I spoke with someone who uses the platform, and they said that the service has been down for a week.

Customers have been frustrated because ZimboCash haven’t yet announced when the upgrade will end. There hasn’t yet (at the time of writing) been any updates on their social media pages regarding the progress of the upgrade. This upgrade may have something to do with the app that they have in the pipeline or it could be something else entirely.

We reached out to ZimboCash for details about the upgrade, and we haven’t heard back yet.

We will keep you posted on any developments.

ZIMBOCASH is a trailblazer. I’m actually impressed that they took the site down while they fix their issues…it takes guts to do that. With such innovation, there are bound to be challenges…Let’s rather support than criticise.

They should’ve done a better job of communicating if they didn’t want to be criticised

Shoddy journalism Valentine, you can surely do better. Techzim has direct contact with Philip the communications guy at Zimbocash (based on comments from the previous article). Please get an official statement from them, instead of fueling speculation and slander. Putting a disclaimer that you reached out to them and haven’t heard anything is the classic line used by lazy journos or journos who want to push a certain narrative. Do the right thing!

This kind of journalism leaves a lot to be desired.

The request in the earlier article received a reply. The request I made about the service disruption hasn’t been responded to yet.

Hey Melusi, apologies for that but sometimes we do get responses later than usual and as is promised in the article we make sure to follow-up. Sometimes the article is published without a response because we deem it too urgent. Hope you understand.

Should Techzim journalists do Zimbocash’s work of informing clients? They should have communicated what the site take down means and how long it is likely to be down. The journalist reached out for comment and they should have made an effort to respond to that. Let’s not condone mediocrity on their part in the name of they innovated

Im sure more due deligence could have been done prior to publication e.g why they took it down , what it is they are working on during the upgrade and when they are kikely to put it back again. This information is readily available on their telegram platform where chats from the inception of the group can be accessed by scrolling up i concur with the previous comment
