EcoCash lowers tariffs, maintains charges for cashouts

Some good news for the 6 million people using EcoCash, Econet’s mobile money service. It has reduced some of its money transfer tariffs. This comes after it also removed merchant payment fees last month.

Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe plans system overhaul, to shut down e-banking services

Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe will enter into a total shutdown starting today 3pm to facilitate a system upgrade that will last until Monday 8am, according to an SMS message sent out to customers.

ZB Bank to launch new card to complement its agent banking service

ZB Bank started its own agent network in 2015 and has so far grown this to a total of 6,000 agents with plans to grow this to 10,000 agents by the end of 2016. A bank card that is distributed and supported through all these agents would further improve access to deposits.
