Zimbabwe’s new satellite TV channel: are these the frequencies?

advertisement

satellite-installing-manAs you may know, it’s been said there’s going to be a new TV channel by the end day today, beaming via satellite directly into the SABC-starved homes of Zimbabwean free-to-air satellite TV viewers. There have been several reports about it, like this one by Kubatana two days ago.

So anyway, a question posted on our Techzim Answers website today contains what the author claims to be the frequencies of the new TV channel. Wel,, it’s not really a question, but here goes the full post:

Satellite: IntelSat 20
Frequency: 12602
Symbol Rate: 26657
FEC: 2/3
Polarization: Horizontal

So there you are! We have no idea if these are the correct figures to get the channel showing so we’d appreciate some comments with feedback from those of you that try them.
