**Icasa postpones rate cuts (Techcentral)**

Icasa, now facing a lawsuit from MTN has pushed forward the date of the intended mobile rate cuts in South Africa from 1 March to 1 May. It has nothing to do with the lawsuit, they claim, but rather, a desire to review the new regulations.

**Facebook broadens Gender options (Bandwithblog)**

Facebook has added about 50 “custom-gender” options. Wow. A person is either born male or female end of story.

**Viber acquired for $900 million (TechMoran)**

A Japan based company Rakuten has completed the purchase of Viber. Thought the price would be marginally higher.
