DStv’s Festive Promotion Sees Subscribers Get A Free Package Upgrade

DSTV bond notes payments

DStv has announced a new festive promotion that will allow subscribers of certain bouquets to get a free upgrade if they pay for their next subscription between the 20th of November to the 24th of December.

Subscribing to the following bouquets will grant you the following upgrade:

  • DStv Access subscribers will be upgraded to DStv Family
  • DStv Family subscribers will be upgraded to DStv Compact
  • DStv Compact subscribers will be upgraded to DStv Compact Plus
  • DStv Compact Plus subscribers will be upgraded to DStv Premium

The promotion is DStv’s way of thanking subscribers for their commitment and an acknowledgement of Zimbabwe’s current economic frailty, according to Ms Liz Dziva – Multichoice Zim’s public relations manager:

It’s another way of thanking customers of these packages for their support and a means of adding value to their DStv experience before, during and after the festive season this year

What of Premium subscribers and packages left out? Well, DStv says those have benefitted due to other promotions in the past and will do so again at a later date.

Do these packages come with electricity? This is one of the few companies that fails to recognise that electricity is affecting their customers. Even if you upgrade a subscribers package, they are still not getting fair value.

Right, coz it’s a private company’s responsibility to fix ZESA’s mess. Do PnP, Bon Marche, OK provide electricity when you buy fresh milk, frozen meat or fish? How about expecting Delta to provide something to keep your drinks cold when you buy them? And ZOL, they must definitely provide power to run our WiFi modems after we’ve paid our monthly fibre subs.
      Seriously!

Lol… when you have to explain sarcasm.. DSTV doesn’t supply electricity, but they supply a product that depends on electricity. You cannot in your right mind think that upgrading a bouquet, which I generally can’t watch, will make me subscribe. That is why ZOL allowed your data to roll over into the next month, so you get value. This DSTV promotion does not give value. You can’t wake up in the middle of the night and watch a programme you missed at 6pm. At least with ZOL I can surf for whatever I wanted to find earlier.

It may not be their job to fix the problem, but it is their responsibility to be sensitive to the plight of their customers and creative in relieving them.

Anyway, go ahead and get your upgrade. Hope your enjoy it… 🤣

Nhamo yako haisi yemumwe. You seem bitter that of late you haven’t been able to watch DStv. Don’t cry on behalf of other people, close your door and weep quietly. We live different lives and we will certainly enjoy the upgrade. Posting a dumb comment is not sarcasm, check your dictionary for the meaning of sarcasm. Bvumawo paunenge warasika, that’s maturity. After all NOBODY watches DStv 24/7 saka the “value” issue is nonsensical. I guess uchiri kuona chiTV chemsana murefu chinodya magetsi icho.

I’m not bitter, neither am I speaking on anyone’s behalf nor did I claim to. I’m also current with my series and movies, though DSTV holds no credit to that. And, if you do have a dictionary and have an understanding of the English language, no explanations about sarcasm are required.

There is also nothing false about what I have said, neither did I suggest anyone watched TV 24/7, as you try to sway my words to your favour. If you see there being value, please explain to me how anyone who is experiencing 6am to 10pm loadshedding benefits from DSTV, let alone a bouquet upgrade?

I guess you have a flat smart TV. It would be great if it made you smarter, but that’s not how those TVs work. 🤔

            Enjoy your upgrade… 🤣🤣

You are very right l dont kno what that fool is saying about your comment but you are very correct there is no value in this DSTV upgrade coz its still 30 days & we wont be having Zesa most of the time. I was expecting them to extend days like ZOL & Telone which makes sense worse off they are charging in USD.

What a dumb comment. When was the last time DStv supplied power to subscribers?

Subscriptions for higher bouquets are going down. It’s hoped that some subscribers will remain “stuck” at the higher bouquet.

Why make your problem anothers problem. When you vist people and givwn a bed to sleep in you don’t ask for a wife.

The money you saved from not paying DStv Premium for the last 6 months is enough to install a solar system 🤪
