30 Apps4Africa 2012 finalists announced

Apps4Africa 2012Appfrica, the organisers of the Apps4Africa challenge announced yesterday the list of 30 startups that have made into the funding and mentorship competition’s finals. Out of the 30, the top 3 will be selected for the finals prize of $10,000 each, ongoing mentorship from Appfrica and according to the announcement, opportunities for further funding. The winners will be announced in the coming weeks.

The finalists comprise of teams from; Nigeria (6 teams), Zambia (4), Uganda (4), Ghana (4), Zimbabwe (3), South Africa (2), Senegal (1), CAR (1), Cameroon (1), Rwanda (1), Benin (1), Cote d’Ivoire (1) and Tanzania (1).
