When we started Techzim back in 2009, the internet in Zimbabwe was still young. We were simply excited about what connectivity could unlock, and we wanted to share those opportunities with anyone who cared to read.
All these years later, Techzim has grow, but at its heart, it’s still about the same thing: people. Our community.
Yes, today we do more than write stories. We help our readers buy airtime, make payments, and choose reliable smartphones. But none of this would mean much without the community that has stood with us since those early days. Many of you are still here, not just as readers, but as friends, advisors, contributors and moderators in our WhatsApp groups.
We’ve never chased profit for its own sake. Sometimes that has looked like a weakness. But honestly, it’s also our strength. Techzim has lasted because we putting people first before anything else is important. We serve you, we grow with you, and together we keep figuring out this ever-changing world of tech.
We are a very small team, but Techzim has always been bigger than us. It belongs to the community of Zimbabweans who believe technology should make life easier, better.
