The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Z and Z Flip 7 FE released just last Wednesday on 9 July, are now available in Zimbabwe.
The two phones which are part of the Samsung latest releases announced at last last week’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, where the company also announced the Z Flip 7 standard as well as the Watch8 series of watches.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 Highlights
In case you’re wondering what’s so special about the Z Fold 7 that would make anyone consider it (crazy prices aside), Samsung in its official announcement called it:
the most advanced Galaxy Z series yet …[in the] thinnest and lightest design to date
- It’s extremely thin for a foldable. So thin and light it’s lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
- It’s essentially a tablet you can put in your pocket. unfolded, it’s an 8-inch tablet!
- It comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the latest and most Snapdragon processor and specially made for Samsung by Qualcomm

And now to the Prices
These are by no means cheap smartphones. They are really for individuals who want to splurge. Especially looking at the Fold 7 Pricing, you can definitely get comparable performance in phones priced much lower, by Samsung itself – the S series phones that is!
The Flip however is priced great considering its in the same range as the Galaxy S25 series flagships, and yet providing some folding utility – if that’s your thing!

Specs
On the specs front, the Galaxy Z Fold is a significant upgrade from it predecessor. It spots the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite, and also comes with an upgraded main camera – from a 50MP sensor in the predecessor to now a 200 Megapixel sensor.

The Z Flip 7 FE is also a significant upgrade. However, Samsung tradition, the Fan Edition is cheaper than the standard Z Flip 7 because it has lower specs, both on the body design and also the performance.
