It’s taken almost four years, but Windows 11 has finally overtaken Windows 10 as the most-used desktop OS in the world. According to Statcounter, Windows 11 now holds 52% of the desktop market, while Windows 10 has dropped to 44.6%.
Microsoft will be celebrating because they have been nudging (okay, shoving) people toward Windows 11 for a while now. And with Windows 10’s end-of-support deadline fast approaching on 14 October, 2025, this Windows 11 beating 10 could not have come at a better time.
That said, it’s been a wild thing. Many PCs, especially in markets like ours, don’t meet Windows 11’s stricter hardware requirements. So you’ll still find plenty of machines in Zimbabwe running Windows 10, and even some still rocking Windows 7 (yes, seriously).
Microsoft is offering extended security updates after the deadline, for a price. So if you’re on Windows 10 and can’t upgrade, your options are: pay up, risk it, or finally bite the bullet and move to 11.
Personally, I’ve found Windows 11 solid. But that TPM 2.0 requirement still feels like a sneaky way to push hardware sales. Some of the devices that can’t upgrade to Windows 11 are still too good to be left in the dust like this.

yay hooray
Totally agree. Windows 11 runs well, but locking out solid hardware over TPM 2.0 feels unnecessary. It’s less about capability and more about control—and sales
So what do I do with my new hp laptop that is running windows 10 when support from microsoft runs out
I’ve tried a bunch of prediction sites, but none match the reliability of the best football prediction site . The analysis feels like it’s written by people who truly watch the games, not just scrape data. I especially like how they cover less popular leagues too — there’s something for everyone. The predictions have been surprisingly on point and help me understand matches from a new angle. Whether you’re a casual fan or someone who tracks every stat, this platform is worth visiting. No exaggeration — it might be the best football prediction site available right now. It’s become one of my favorite football tools.
