So, about this Samsung XR headset, it seems like the guys from Samsung are about to drop a new gadget, and you will love its price tag.

According to a report from Korea, Samsung is getting ready to unveil its Android XR headset, which they’re calling “Project Moohan” or “Project Infinite,” at an Unpacked event on September 29th.

The big news, though, is the price. They’re saying this thing will cost anywhere from 2.5 million to 4 million won, which is about $1,800 to $2,800 USD.

Now, that’s not as high as Apple’s Vision Pro ($3500), which will probably cost you a few toes, but let’s be real, it’s still about four times more than a Meta Quest 3. At that price, you could probably buy a decent second-hand car in some parts of town.

Samsung is reportedly playing it cool for now, with plans to only sell 100,000 units by the end of 2025. This means they’re probably testing the waters to see if people will actually bite.

But hey, if you’re in the market for a high-end gadget and have some serious money to burn, this might be your next toy.

I will be preordering two of these bad boys, everyone deserves a spare one by their side.

All jokes aside, that price is too steep. However, when you consider that the Z Fold 7 starts at about $2000, it does make sense that the headset would start at about $1800. Maybe we’re just not the target market then.
